Employer Relations Specialist - Central Valley Region
Alicia Aguilera (Jeleti) joined Sutter Health in June 2007 as Employer Relations Specialist in the Sacramento Sierra Region. She has recently transferred to the Central Valley Region. Alicia's background involves 11 years of experience in the healthcare arena. She has spent the last three years building and cultivating employer relationships in the Sacramento-Sierra Region. Her experience includes implementing marketing strategies and initiatives, driving business development plans, managing targeted marketing campaigns, and supervising promotional events.
Her prior roles and responsibilities have included; licensed pharmacy technician, nutrition consultant, worksite wellness health educator, and Certified Lactation Counselor.
Alicia is a California Licensed Pharmacy Technician and degreed nutritionist. She is graduate of California State University, Sacramento and holds a Bachelors degree in Family and Consumer Science, concentration Nutrition and Food.

Gary Kaye
Employer Relations Specialist - West Bay and Peninsula Coastal Regions
Gary Kaye's background involves over 10 years of experience in e-health, wellness and disease management programs. He has provided strategic wellness solutions to various market segments including the employer, broker, payor, third party administrator, and insurer.
His roles and responsibilities have included strategic business development with an emphasis on evaluating client objectives and implementing innovative programs to meet these objectives.
Other responsibilities have included account coordination and management, working not only with corporate decision makers but also in a coordinated fashion to bring together all necessary departments including IT, marketing, and third party vendors.
Gary is well versed working with employer populations ranging from 250 to 7000 employees. He currently holds a Certificate in Business Law, California Life & Health License, California P&C License.

Kris Baldwin
Director of Operations
Kris Baldwin joined Sutter Health in 2001, forming the Sutter Health Partners health and wellness program. Kris was instrumental in the deployment of the wellness program at additional Sutter affiliates and external employers. Kris’ experience includes 15 years in healthcare, from health plan administration, brokerage, account management, workers’ compensation case management, medical practice administration, physician relations, contracting and credentialing.
Prior to joining Sutter Health, Kris was Operations Manager for Marin IPA. Kris received a degree in Applied Science, is a certified Wellness Program Manager and is a licensed life agent. Kris is passionate about the program that she started and is proud of the success of the team and the positive impact coaching has had on many participants’ lives.

Monica Majors
Director of Employer Products and Sales
Monica Majors is the Director of Employer Products & Sales of Sutter Health. A seasoned professional in the industry. Her career has been spent working in managed care operations, product & business development as well as in sales and marketing. In addition Monica has broad experience in many local and national market segments all of which provides Sutter Health with leadership that is strategic and focused. She is responsible for designing, packaging and promoting Sutter Health’s employer programs. Prior to joining the company she was VP of Network Management for Great-West Healthcare and VP of Sales and Operations for DoctorandPatient. She has Bachelor degrees in both Business and Information Systems.

Myrna Belanic, RN
Employer Relations Specialist, East Bay Region
Myrna Belanic joined Sutter Health in September 2009 as Employer Relations Specialist, East Bay Region. Leveraging her healthcare background and business development experience, she brings Sutter Health’s Live Well for Life program to area employers seeking to improve the health status, performance and productivity of their employees.
As prior Director of Occupational Health & Wellness she has provided Healthcare and EAP Services for the employees of Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company, Crocker National Bank, Cedars Sinai Medical Center and ABC Studios.
And, as Director of Business Development and serving as a Consultant, Myrna has worked with companies such as Health & Sciences Television Network, Krames StayWell, and Subimo to provide the Employer market and their employees the education resources and tools to help them better understand their health conditions and manage healthcare costs.
Myrna is a California Licensed Registered Nurse with 20 years of health care experience. She is a graduate of Jewish Hospital School of Nursing/Washington University Affiliate, Saint Louis, Missouri.

Mary Anna Weklar
Director of Business Development
Mary Anna Weklar is passionate about applying her extensive business development expertise to assist employers in improving the personal health and wellbeing of their employees through the design and delivery of innovative approaches to wellness.
Mary Anna has a 25 plus year career in health care service and she has been with Sutter Health for 13 years in strategy, business development and program planning. She is a member of the Northern California Employee Benefits Council, the Golden Gate Association of Health Underwriters and represents Sutter on the HERO (Health Enhancement Research Organization) Think Tank. She is a frequent speaker on wellness and has recently addressed the National Business Group on Health, the International Society of Certified Employee Benefits Specialists and the Northern CA Human Resource Association.
Her educational background includes a Masters in Health Services Administration from George Washington University in Washington, DC and a Bachelor of Science in Unified Science from Drexel University, Philadelphia, PA. When not working, Mary Anna enjoys exercise, hiking, swimming, yoga, cross country skiing, and exploring fun ways to stay fit.

Melissa Cheney
Health Promotions Program Coordinator
Melissa Cheney is Health Promotions Program Coordinator for Sutter Health Partners. She brings her passion for health and wellness, as well as her extensive experience working as a Clinical Health Educator for Hill Physicians Medical Group, while managing their regional wellness program.
Her focus is on lifestyle and disease management, empowering and educating the patient to manage their chronic conditions by making healthy lifestyle changes with the help of proper nutrition and exercise. As our nations’ health continues to plummet due to increases in obesity, diabetes, heart disease, and other chronic diseases, she strives to help others lead a healthier lifestyle by promoting and implementing Sutter Health Partners’ Lifestyle Management Program.
Melissa received her bachelor’s degree in health communications and nutrition from the University of California at Davis. While she attended UC Davis, she also earned her EMT certificate.

Patti Mesquite
Health Promotions Program Coordinator
Patti Mesquite is Health Promotions Program Coordinator for Sutter Health Partners for the Bay Area region. Her background and passion is in exercise science and health promotion. Prior to her current position, Patti was a Wellness Coach for SHP for 7 years. She has been in the fitness industry since 1982 and has been involved in sports her entire life. She is certified by the American Council on Exercise as both a personal trainer and fitness instructor. She is a 1 on 1 HearthMath Provider and most recently completed the Wellcoaches Training and Certification Program.
Besides her current position, Patti is the Fitness Coordinator and an instructor at the Mill Valley Community and Fitness Center. During her coaching years she taught the Marin General Hospital Cycle/Exercise program for 7 years. Prior to her joining Sutter, Patti owned and operated “In Step with Fitness’, an aerobic and personal training business for 10 years.

Wendy Haworth
Marketing Communications Coordinator
Wendy Haworth has over 15 years of health care marketing experience, including several years in account management working with physician practices and assisting them with marketing, patient relations, and practice management. She has also worked with various pharmaceutical, medical device, and biotechnology companies in physician-directed marketing and advertising campaigns, as well as the development of ongoing branding and promotional strategies. Wendy received her BA in communications from California State University, Fullerton.
